Hi! My name is Ryan Ladd. I am a man of God, a career firefighter, husband to my gorgeous wife Allie, and father of two beautiful kids, Kennedy and Lincoln. Kennedy and Lincoln have a rare genetic disease called MPS 1 Hurler Syndrome. We have spent the last 5 years in/out of the hospital with their diagnosis, treatment, bone marrow transplant, and checkups. Going through this storm has made me a better dad, man, and husband. I am still no expert in any part of it. I still fail multiple times a day at all aspects. I hope to have some other firefighter dads, rare disease dads, and great men on the show to help us all become better in all aspects. I pray this show will also be a place that you can come to if you don't have a dad or mentor in your life. I want to be the first to tell you that I love you and I care about you.
