The Journal Overview

Founded at the onset of the global pandemic in 2020, The Journal has featured and shared thousands of images by women and non-binary photographers in our community, who turn the camera to themselves instead and capture their everyday lives. Collaboration is the keyword that underlays our programs and activities. The Journal is there to be a platform that enables opportunities of exchanging ideas and creating new things, fostering a community that aims to support women and non-binary photographers in many different ways. We have since collaborated with more than 600 women and non-binary photographers and 38 established women and non-binary curators and/or photo editors from all over the world. Our photographs have been showcased and have travelled across cities, from New York, Berlin, Freiburg, to São Paulo, Hong Kong, Athens. They can also be found on major magazines and publications including der Spiegel, the Washington Post, British Journal of Photography, the New Yorker, among others.
