The Old Liffey Ferry

The Old Liffey Ferry company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Irish Nautical Trust, along with The Dublin Port Company and Dublin City Council, are proud to bring the return of The Old Liffey Ferry Service to Dublin's Docklands. The Ferry service was first granted a charter in 1665 by King Charles II, (although there had been a ferry dating back at least to the 1400's), and it was eventually discontinued in 1984 with the opening of the then new East Link toll bridge (Tom Clarke Bridge). The Old Liffey Ferry service runs between the Cill Airne pontoon and Sir John Rogerson's Quay pontoon and The Point Depot (3Arena) pontoon, from 7am to 7pm - Monday to Friday, all year round.
