Therness Srl is a spin-off of the Politecnico di Torino that develops advanced solutions for real-time monitoring of welding processes. Thanks to an innovative system based on thermography and artificial intelligence, Therness is able to automatically detect welding defects while monitoring 100% of production. In this way, Therness ensures quality, safety, and a drastic reduction of costs associated with rework, wastes, and penalties. The system, composed of a thermal camera integrated into the welding robot and proprietary software, automatically generates reports and adapts to several welding technologies. The solution is targeted at companies with automated welding lines operating in sectors such as Automotive, Oil & Gas, Railways, and many others.
