The Summit Foundation is the community foundation of the Summit, NJ, area. We foster philanthropy and cultivate resources to address needs and meaningfully improve lives in the Summit, NJ area. We offer donors flexible ways to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.
We invest $1 million in our community annually through strategic grants, donor-advised and special purpose funds, and scholarships. Our grants have helped over 100 distinct organizations deliver life-enhancing programs and services to many people in our area.
What We Do:
• Grow Philanthropic Resources: Build and manage funds from donors to support community needs.
• Grantmaking: Grant funds to nonprofit organizations, projects, and initiatives that address various local issues.
• Scholarships: Provide scholarships to students to support their education.
• Donor-Advised Funds: Manage funds where donors can recommend specific grants.
• Special Purpose Funds: Manage funds designated for particular causes or projects.
Our vision is to create enduring impact by actively engaging residents, nonprofits, and local networks in expanding resources and possibilities for people to prosper in our area.
