One in four individuals will be affected by mental health concerns at some point in their lives. Only one-third of those people will be helped by a health professional in their time of need. The prevalence of difficulties experienced by such a large number of people highlights a shared human experience, however stigma and discrimination prevent care and treatment from reaching people who need it.
