Tiira Wind Power Association develops a wind turbine concept that will be ultimately geared towards the deployment in deep-water offshore locations. Currently being in the pre-seed phase, it’s our goal to demonstrate our technology’s functioning and particularly effective way of harvesting wind energy.
Our concept combines the solid physics of a regular, horizontal-axis wind turbine with clever force management and a novel system architecture that multiplies the wind capture area for a given machine size. Thus, it does not only offer a cost-effective access to the vast and very steady deep-water offshore wind resources, but it also promises an exceptionally high energy yield. And if global society is to tackle climate change at the required speed, it needs exactly that: Renewable energy that’s abundant, steady and cheap.
