TIMIO is a start-up app using AI to spot bias in your news feed. Developed with data from Open-Source NewsBlur, our AI model scans news articles to help you spot potential flaws, bias, or misinformation.
Additionally we keep our app is free of preference algorithms and the plague of biased 'For you' pages. On TIMIO, everyone gets the same feed. We promise to never adjust your feed based on your data. This means you're far more likely to encounter new and different viewpoints when browsing the app.
You can enter the TIMIO Public Beta today by searching for "Timio News" on the Google Play or the App Store. Our first AI feature—Alternate Perspectives—is currently available in Open Beta Testing. More features, fixes, enhanced UI and other improvements coming soon.

TIMIO was founded by Josh Baier in the summer of 2023 and has been further developed within SMU's Cox School of Business after receiving funding from SMU through the Big Ideas Competition and SMU Impact Lab.
