Top Notch Consulting does B2B bad debit recovery. We are not your standard collection agency. We partner with our clients to provide a more receptive response from the debtor.
We take the first 10 days after receiving an account in our office for research and investigation into the debtor to determine if they have the financial means to pay the debt and if they have any assets to pay the debt. If we determine the debtor does not have the means to pay the debt and has no assets, we will return the account to you stating the account is uncollectable, along with a detailed report explaining why we believe the account is uncollectable.
We do not send letter after letter and call the debtor 22 times trying to collect payment. Debtors are much more likely to pay or work out payment arrangements with someone that is working with the company they owe rather than a third party.
At Top Notch Consulting we try and visit every debtor face to face with client’s prior approval, we find that a lot of times face to face will get the issue resolved. If after thirty days the debtor has made no attempt to resolve the debt, we issue a 10-day demand letter on your company’s letterhead, sent via certified mail. Once the 10 days have pasted, we issue one final letter notifying the debtor of our intent to file suit in small claims court, Top Notch Consulting takes care of all court appearances. If the debt exceeds the threshold for small claims, we will schedule a meeting with you, the client, to discuss options moving forward. We provide monthly update reports on every account, and we are always available via phone, text, or email.
All filing fees, attorney fees, and expenses are passed to the client. Top Notch Consulting charges a fee of 20% of the gross amount of the debt.
