Toyota Uganda Limited (TUGA) is an automotive company established in Uganda in 2005. It is 100% owned by the Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) as its shareholders. TTC is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) the largest automotive manufacturer in the world as of 2016.
In December 2016, TTC acquired 100% public shares of The Compagnie Française de l’Afrique Occidentale (CFAO) and CFAO took over management of all its African Automotive distributors operating in over 53 countries including Uganda.
TUGA is the only licensed distributor of Toyota Vehicles in Uganda, it is the only company authorized to distribute and sell new Toyota vehicles and parts in Uganda as well as offer Toyota Manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, Toyota Uganda is also the official distributors for Yamaha motorcycles, Case Tractors, Hino trucks and Buses as well as Toyota Folk lifts
