Trailhead Community is a Colorado-based nonprofit pioneering a new model of inclusive, supportive housing. We’ve created one of the nation’s first fully integrated apartment communities where adults with developmental disabilities live alongside neurotypical residents—seniors, working professionals, and others—in a safe, accessible, and socially connected environment.
Our 80-unit community in Littleton blends Universal Design, mixed-income affordability, and cooperative governance to promote independence, connection, and shared responsibility. Residents are not just tenants—they are neighbors, contributors, and co-creators of an environment built on equity, respect, and belonging.
Through this innovative approach, Trailhead addresses systemic barriers to housing and inclusion for people with disabilities while offering a replicable model for communities across the country.
