The autonomous Technological University provides quality technical education to meet industry, business, service sector, and societal needs. Supported by the Government of Maharashtra, it began in 1989 with thirty students in Petrochemical Engineering. Over 29 years, it's grown to offer eight UG courses (Civil, Computer, Chemical, ExTc, Electrical, IT, Mechanical, and Petrochemical Engineering), six M. Tech programs, and Doctoral research, impacting research and technological services.
On March 1, 2016, the State Government declared it the Technical University of Maharashtra under Mah. Act No. XXIX of 2014, affiliating Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, and Catering Technology colleges. Currently, 100 colleges are affiliated. Situated amidst lush greenery, the University features a residential campus with hostels, a guest house, and staff quarters. It's well-connected by road and rail, located on the Mumbai-Goa National Highway and Konkan Railway.
The University's Career Development Center (CDC), formerly known as the Training and Placement Cell, efficiently manages campus placements, customizing arrangements for Talks, Tests, Interviews, and more. Accomplished alumni shine in engineering, research, teaching, consulting, IT, and social sectors, fostering strong ties with organizations for yearly recruitment.
The CDC team propels undergraduates toward promising horizons under the leadership of Professor Dr. Neeraj Agrawal (TPO), along with highly educated senior faculty, M. Tech (IITM), PhD (IITKgp), who encourages students to secure jobs aligned with their profiles. Guiding role alignment, the CDC sparks careers. The placement season begins in the initial academic month, extending until conclusion. A student committee supports the T&P Cell.
