In July 2022, Wales launched a national Trauma-informed Framework ‘Trauma-Informed Wales: A Societal Approach to Understanding, Preventing and Supporting the Impacts of Trauma and Adversity.’
This co-produced all age, all of society Framework was developed by people and organisations across Wales and was supported by the Welsh Government. The Framework was informed by evidence, advised by an Expert Reference Group of professionals and by people with lived experience, and was informed by a 12 week public consultation.
The Framework is now being implemented across Wales with the support and guidance of a national Implementation Steering Group co led by ACE Hub Wales and Traumatic Stress Wales.
