traveldoc.ai helps travellers to get immediate medical assistance abroad. A chatbot-based medical travel assistant can solve common medical questions in real-time & connects travelers with human doctors via video call. traveldoc.ai was founded at EIA, which is Europe's largest startup accelerator program. A batch of around 50 startups are intensively mentored in order to get funding from top Investors from Silicon Valley and Europe. Industry leaders from all fields in the startup ecosystem (e.g. Google, Stanford University & Alchemist Accelerator) help the interdisciplinary founding teams in the areas of business modeling, customer validation, growth hacking, software development, prototyping / MVPs, IP strategy, revenue models & funding strategy. Our founding team (2 software developers, 2 ex strategy consultants) initially focused on predictive analytics and machine learning use cases. We have built and tested a prototype for an AI-based medical travel assistant, which can solve common medical questions in real-time and (if needed) connects travelers with human doctors via video calls. Nevertheless, European regulation was too strict in 2017/18 to enable business models around telemedicine services in core markets like Germany.
