The Travltalk mobile React Native app was founded by Rhiannon Monks and live on the App & Google Play stores, as a freemium and premium in-app-purchase revenue model and in full production mode beyond MVP from June 2018 - June 2021.
Our app was described as ‘Tinder for travel without the dating’, where like-minded travellers could connect when arriving in new cities, and via our Travltalk Contributor site, which housed helpful articles written by real travellers (not influencers) about cities from over 60 countries around the world.
While we were live, we had over 15,000 users, across 50 countries, had completed 2 seasons of our Travltalking podcast and published over 200 contributor articles. Sadly the effects of Covid-19 forced us to close the business in December 2020.
