Trenergi has developed a new type of PEM fuel cell known as HTPEM - High Temperature PEM. This patented technology not only operates efficiently - greater than 40% electrical efficiency - but provides heat at a very useful temperature of 160-180°C that can be used for space heating and hot water. This means the total energy available is over 80% of the energy put in. This patented design also has a useful life that is 2-3 times as long as other fuel cell technologies.
