Tri-County Literacy Council (TCLC) specializes in addressing adult literacy needs in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry counties of Ontario. This free training includes:
Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) upgrading;
General Educational Development (G.E.D.) Preparation;
Apprenticeship Preparation;
Basic Computer training; and
Occupational training for entry-level positions.
Training is based on the nine Essential Skills identified by the Government of Canada as necessary for success at work and in daily life. We offer a small group classroom and one-on-one tutoring with volunteer tutors. All of our programs and services are free of charge. We also offer free educational assessments and develop training plans based on an individual’s goals. Training supports may be available.

The TCLC Difference
TCLC offers a different learning environment and teaching styles. This is not traditional classroom learning or independent study. Choosing to upgrade or train with TCLC means learning in a supported and interactive way. Your course of study may include:
