Lisa Tripp and Shira Hollander have extensive experience navigating the legal and government affairs challenges impacting providers offering care at home that is usually offered in other settings. They are also two of the most knowledgeable lawyers and advocates in the nation on hospital at home. Lisa co-led the team that wrote and implemented the CMS Acute Hospital Care at Home waiver while she was at CMS, and Lisa and Shira together, led the advocacy efforts that were successful in getting Congressional support for hospital at home. They share a passion for developing a new, patient-centered home and community-based ecosystem to address the various ills of the current health care system, including meeting the increasing needs of rural and urban underserved populations.
The next phase of statutory and regulatory work will focus on establishing a framework to ensure patients can receive safe and effective acute and post-acute care at home. Tripp Hollander Advisors is well positioned to help clients navigate and plug into the processes that federal and state governments will undertake to write laws and regulations for this care. Through extensive working relationships with officials at all levels of government, as well as deep understanding of the operational complexities of providing care at home, Lisa and Shira advise clients on informing and complying with government rules and regulations to best enable them to scale. This will be especially important at the state level, given that many different agencies regulate the actions service providers must take to bring care into the home.
