Truck Technics Ltd is a large Car & Commercial Service and Repair Centre based near Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The Company began with Ken Tyrala, who has over 10 years’ experience as a Workshop Manager and Master Technician for a major main dealer. In the beginning the company employed 2 mechanics and work was carried out over an outside pit while the purpose built commercial workshop was constructed over them The purpose built CV workshop was completed in 2008 and Truck Technics currently has grown to a staff of 31, 20 qualified technicians, 3 apprentice and 8 office staff Car & Van service and repairs were added in 2011 and due to the rapid growth of the business an extension to the building was completed in June 2012. This extension boasts a 4 bay car workshop and offices, reception and stores An engineering workshop was built in spring 2012 to develop the crane service and repair, refurbishment and fabrication business and in December 2012 Truck Technics won a contract for the refurbishment of 50, 2 axle drawbar trailers for ALC. In December 2012 body repairs were added to the portfolio of services January 2015 saw another expansion, another 2 bay workshop to house a DVSA Authorised Testing Facility, Truck technics can now carry out MOT’s, ADR’s and other associated services on HGV and PSV applications The 40ft Commercial Spray Booth and shot blasting bay was added in 2015 Today Truck Technics has many Maintenance Agreements with many large and Multi-National Companies including Babcock, Terberg, Mammoet, Metcalfe Farms Haulage, Yorkshire Water and Northgate Vehicle Hire to name a few.
