True Energy Inc Overview

True Energy Inc., is a Canadian corporation founded by Dr. Douglas J. Hallett in 2015 to advance the Hydrogen Reduction (HR) process. This transformational and patent pending technology can chemically destruct any organic compound, producing renewable natural gas, green hydrogen and inert materials. Over the past 30 years the HR process has destroyed complex hazardous wastes, such as PCBs, DDT, dioxins, and chemical warfare agents, rendering them inert while releasing their energy value. A new patent is pending to derive renewable natural gas from wastes that are prevalent in society, such as sewage, municipal solid waste, mixed industrial plastics, and off-spec foods. Addressing these waste streams with the HR process can radically reduce our reliance on fossil fuels for transportation, energy and manufacturing most economically. The process uses gaseous hydrogen, the smallest molecule in nature, as a reducing agent to break up more complex molecules, Reduction occurs from materials that are in a solid, liquid, or gaseous state. Energy is released primarily in the form of hydrogen, methane, or a combination of the two. The Renewable and Recovered Natural Gas can be produced cost competitively with fossil fuel derived gases. The process can also achieve upwards of 95% solids reduction and provides for the recycling and recovery of metals, elemental carbon, and silica. All processes are contained within the facility so that there are no emissions to the environment. Based in Ontario, True Energy Inc. has been approved for a grant from the Natural Gas Innovation Fund of the Canadian Gas Association to build and operate a pilot plant. The pilot will operate on Auto Shredder Residue (ASR), which is polyethylene foam or plastic, and on Sewage Sludge. Discussions are underway in both Canada and the USA to supply and operate full-scale plants that will create RNG from many different feedstocks.
