Truly Reaching You, Inc. Overview

Truly Reaching You was formed in Akron, OH in 1999 by Perry Clark, who after being released from prison in 1997 realized the need for a healthy environment to not return to his old ways. TRY became a formal 501(c)3 in 2006 and has steadily grown since. Truly Reaching You is committed to helping men, reentering the community from incarceration and/or addiction, transition into healthy lifestyles, renewed attitudes, and positive relationships through Christian principles. Truly Reaching You works in collaboration with the Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Board of Summit County, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Adult Parole Authority, various Judges, and the National Association of Recovery Residences. Truly Reaching You is the only holistic faith based reentry program in Ohio. The Governor of Ohio has supported TRY for the last five years. TRY was named as one of three men’s recovery housing providers that Summit County has chosen to partner with. Truly Reaching You is financially supported in part by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Ohio Governor’s Office of Faith based and community Initiative, The Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Board of Summit County, and the United Way of Summit County.
