Geoff Hill has been importing agricultural and construction machinery from China for 20 years. Qingmei Pang is highly qualified in engineering and international business. In 2017, they founded Tuatara Machinery Limited, trading as Tuatara ATV, to produce an ATV for New Zealanders: the TUATARA. Though the business has grown globally, it's still run from a lifestyle block in New Zealand and continues to evolve in response to customer feedback. The company passion to make the Tuatara the side-by-side of choice for farmers, hunters, contractors and recreational users continues to strengthen! Why the “Tuatara” name? The iconic tuatara is an ancient lizard species found only in New Zealand. Tuataras live for more than 100 years, and their rugged appearance is strangely appealing. What better image could there be for New Zealand’s own ATV? Geoff and Qingmei originally designed the Tuatara UTV to handle New Zealand conditions. It’s now manufactured in China with tough, enduring steel and to their specifications with strength, safety, carrying capacity, and "go-anywhere capability" always in mind. Both the petrol and 100% electric "eTuatara" are brilliant 4wd task masters with plenty of power!
