Harriet Tubman (1822-1913) was an American abolitionist and social activist, who dedicated her life to helping enslaved people escape to freedom after having successfully escaped from slavery herself.
Tubman.network was founded on February 27th, 2022 as a direct response to the racist human rights violations facing non-white refugees fleeing the Ukrainian war zones. We are a coalition of Black, African, Afro-diasporic, Indigenous and People of Colour Individuals & Organisations, and white Allies.
We match hosts with new arrivals - we have successfully hosted over 1800 people from Ukraine.
We carry out a daily needs analysis and offer support for crisis management. We facilitate access to a team of Black psychologists.
We organise and offer daily certified German classes with qualified teachers.
We identify scholarships, integrate students into University seminars to obtain credits and therefore facilitate integration into University life.
We offer free career coaching provided by skilled professionals.
We close long-term partnerships with hiring companies and institutions to create job opportunities for our members
We invest in Women's Empowerment by organising women's circles.
We facilitate Youth Exchange projects and mentorships for young people.
