Tumbling Tigerz has been operating as a physical child development program since 2011, delivering gross motor development to children in the foundation phase (Ages 3 - 9). The development and movements that are incorporated in the Tumbling Tigerz program are essential in assisting children with Core strength, Coordination, Crossing the midline, Gross motor development, social development and many more.
These movements and the gross motor program that Tumbling Tigerz facilitates is not to be considered as a Sport or Extracurricular activity, but is rather to be considered as a preventative gross motor development program or a maintenance program for children that will need to attend therapy or return to therapy if certain strength and development maintenance is not up kept and this will be detrimental to not only the physical state of the child but the mental state as well.
The role of physical development during the foundation phase is part of the curriculum and the cognitive developmental aspects that the children engage during these sessions also benefit the concentration and cognitive ability in the classroom.
