The UCL Sailing Club is the continuation of the University of London Sailing Club (ULSC), which was established in 1948, and prides itself on being one of the most inclusive and varied sporting clubs in the university. UCLSC aims to provide an inexpensive way to give students the opportunity to begin sailing, or to continue sailing regularly while studying. Students of all levels are welcome join us. UCLSC is based at Welsh Harp Sailing Club (WHSC), and sails on the Welsh Harp Reservoir (near Wembley Stadium in Northwest London), which offers an ideal environment for sailing.
We have a strong team which competes all around the UK against different universities with notable successes at inter-university events as well as the national British Universities Sailing Association (BUSA) Team Racing Championships. We also run Beginners' Courses for new sailors and seasoned sailors are also welcome to join for recreational sailing.
