CERTIFICATE OF INTERIOR DESIGN: FOUNDATION LEVEL Interior Design Certificate consists of 18 classes (82 units) and provides a basic foundation level of education in Interior Design. The Certificate can be completed in a minimum of 6 Quarters (1.5 years) but the pace of class taking is determined by the student. The Certificate Program offers: • Open enrollment, flexible class loads and scheduling, and the potential to transfer relevant credits • Online classes offered quarterly • Distinguished instructors—all practicing professionals in interior design, architecture or fine arts • NCIDQ examination eligibility after a higher amount of required work experience Students can begin the Certificate Program at any quarter of the year. When quarterly schedules become available, students can register online at www.uclaextension.edu or by calling the UCLA Extension Registration office at (310) 825-9971. Establishing Candidacy in the Certificate program is required in order to receive a Certificate of Completion and Advance Standing for credit received from another institution. Students must establish candidacy prior to enrolling in their sixth course in the program.
