UH Industrial Design

Established in 2003, the internationally-renowned Industrial Design program at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design is a leader in healthcare, transportation, furniture, and housewares design. The program’s pedagogy focuses on critical thinking, the art of making, applied advanced technologies, sustainability by design, and interdisciplinary research. Its curriculum emphasizes generative and discovery-oriented learning, supported by a structural alignment of integrated, collaborative, and project-oriented training.
