The University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established in 2017 by the University of Jammu as a distinguished institution committed to delivering high-quality education in Engineering & Technology. Recognized as a 'Centre of Excellence,' UIET commenced its first academic session in 2017, offering two streams in Engineering: Civil Engineering (C.E.) and Computer Science Engineering (C.S.E.), each with an intake of 60 students. Strategically located in Janglote, Kathua, UIET enjoys a favorable geographical position, situated approximately 2 km North-West from NH-1A when traveling from Kathua to Lakhanpur. This advantageous location facilitates convenient access for students from neighboring states such as Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The UIET is situated within the Kathua Campus of the University of Jammu, provides state-of-the-art facilities, exemplifying world-class amenities. It houses modern laboratories, well-equipped workshops, spacious classrooms, and seminar halls. Additionally, the institute boasts an expansive library, stocked with a diverse collection of national and international journals,
