Underwater Lunatics is a production company that stands out with its captivating underwater images and thought-provoking above-water narratives in the world of documentary filmmaking. Co-founded by ocean enthusiasts Luca Keller and Julia Baumgartner, we focus on creating environmental documentaries that revolve around ocean-related stories. Our team is made up of divers and freedivers with a deep understanding of the ocean and its challenges, enabling us to capture it unique in its way.
Our flagship documentary, Metropolis - A Day in Reef City, has been screened at multiple international film festivals, including the International Wildlife Film Festival (IWFF), the Ocean Film Festival World Tour, the Houston Underwater Film Festival (HUFF), and the International Underwater Film Festival in Belgrade.
