Founded in 1759, Union is the oldest embroidery company in the world. We are located in St.Gallen, Switzerland, the birthplace of the embroidery. Our first embroideries were used for outerwear and shirting. In 1950s, Haute Couture discovered the beauty of our embroidery work. The arrival of a new generation of machines, allowed us to embroider on delicate grounds and so we turned our attention to lingerie and corsetry.
As first European embroiderer, we built our fully owned production site in Qingdao, China back in 1992. Soon after, we established our own dye house right next to our production. Our Chinese staff is regularly trained by our experienced colleagues from our Swiss headquarter.
Our own production facilities enable us to react flexible and very fast on changing market demands and needs.
