University Schools company information, Employees & Contact Information

On the campus of the University of Memphis, the University Schools compendium serves over 1,000 students from over 35 zip codes across the Memphis - Shelby County community at four schools and two school partnerships. While our schools were first established over 100 years ago as a training site for our teacher training programs, the full "compendium" was established in 2019 to ensure a full path for children from birth through high school graduation. The University Schools, as public school partnerships with Memphis Shelby County Schools (MSCS), have no academic requirements for entry, consistently rank in the top five percent of all K-12 schools in the state of Tennessee for both achievement and growth, and offer a wide range of extended learning and athletic opportunities for students. Our three early childhood programs are all accredited and provide scholarship options for students who do not have the financial means to pay tuition for attendance. Each of our schools is staffed by UofM faculty and staff, a majority of whom hold advanced degrees, and serves as a training, or laboratory school, for programs and residency support for teachers and practitioners at the University. The schools also serve as a site for ongoing research conducted across the colleges of our Carnegie R1 research facility
