Uphill New England’s mission is to build a vibrant, responsible, and sustainable culture of uphilling in New England.
Uphilling - the use of alpine touring equipment for uphill travel at ski resorts - is one of the fastest growing outdoor sports. With this growth comes new challenges for ski resorts. Uphill New England’s primary focus is to help ski resorts with these challenges in order to ensure broad and consistent uphill access for the ski touring community. Along the way, we seek to build community among uphillers, lower barriers-to-entry for the sport, and enhance the experience for everyone.
Uphill New England's flagship initiative is to sell a multi-mountain uphill membership pass which provides access to 12+ ski resorts across MA, VT, NH, and ME with a single purchase. Uphill New England provides an access pass armband, streamlined set of waivers, and mobile app. The app enables digital check-in at each resort, the ability for the user to track their vertical throughout the season, and special access to ski resort promotions.
