Unified Professional Pharmacy Organizations of Washington (UPPOW) Overview

UPPOW is a professional organization that includes the University of Washington School of Pharmacy student chapters of APhA, ASHP, NCPA, WSPA, and IPSF. No matter what your career goals are (or even if you have no idea what they are yet!), being involved in UPPOW will help you round out your studies while you’re in school and will make you a more qualified candidate for whatever job you apply for in the future. UPPOW is a large umbrella organization that will give you a well-rounded view of many aspects of pharmacy. In addition to being a member in organizations supporting both hospital and community pharmacy, you will also have opportunities to learn about international pharmacy practice, political advocacy and other legislative affairs, and Washington State-specific pharmacy issues. UPPOW provides unique patient care projects, awards and scholarships, and leadership opportunities.
