Founded in 1997, UCTC actively engages in the ministry of teaching in the schools of the Archdiocese of Boston serving urban students and providing academically rigorous and experientially rich, urban Catholic teacher preparation based in a uniquely Catholic formative context. Members commit to a two year teaching practicum in Boston Catholic schools serving urban students, living in an intentional community, growing in their faith, and completing a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction at Boston College's Lynch School of Education.
