Founded in February 2021, USASA Health will provide a new generation of medical clinics combining health care and technological innovations (data science and artificial Intelligence) to bring to Africa a new approach to community care.
The DNA of USASA Health is to offer affordable price for health diagnosis and care to individuals living with incomes below/equivalent to the poverty line or with limited financial resources and who have difficult access to the existing health care system reducing then the impoverishment of populations in poor and developing countries.
Why USASA Health is needed?
Sub-Saharan Africa is home to about 11% of the world's population but bears 24% of the global burden of disease in human and financial costs. Nearly half of the world's children who die before the age of five live in Africa. Africa also suffers from an acute shortage of skilled medical personnel, with only 3% of the world's health workforce. The consequences of this shortage of adequate healthcare structures and especially of qualified personnel are, among others, the significant deterioration of the health status of the populations, the difficulties of access to health care, the desertification of the regions through the exodus of populations and the inability to build a certain sustainable economic environment.
USASA Health objective is to offer to the populations of sub-Saharan Africa a global efficient solution for diagnosis, medical prescription and efficient medical care for people with limited financial resources and/or living on a salary equivalent to the poverty line.
USASA Health will also partner with start-up who have embarked in the IA adventure to co-create applications of IA dedicated to medical professionals in Sub-Saharan Africa.
