The International Biotechnology Competition and Exhibition (IBCEx) is an annual program organized by the Bioprocess Engineering Student Society (BIOSS) from the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Johor Bahru, Johor.
This year, year 2025 marks the 11th anniversary of IBCEx. By bringing the concept of IBCEx from 2015 to 2024 towards a bigger leap and with the theme of ‘Biotechnology and the Circular Economy : Waste to Wealth’, this program aims to provide a platform for students of different education levels to compete and present their creative innovations in biotechnology.
We hope that through this program, the present generation will be more creative, proactive, and innovative in contributing to the development of the biotechnology industry, especially in Malaysia. It is also our hope that both Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Bioprocess Engineering Student Society (BIOSS) will get more exposure and recognition through this program.
