The UTS Music Society (MuscUTS) represents the predominant community of musicians on campus that unite to provide music-related events, services, and ensembles for the society and external clubs/venues. Founded in 1981, MuscUTS remains the oldest club at UTS, and continues to provide dozens of unique events throughout semesters. These may include karaoke/open mic nights, workshops, networking events, themed parties with live music, BBQs, paint & sips, pub crawls, and end-of-semester concerts to showcase rehearsed performances from our community and organized ensembles.
MuscUTS ensembles are led by our executive team and include Jam Club and Jazz Club. With these ensembles combined, MuscUTS provides regular meetups that suit the majority of musicians looking for a group. Jam Club features an audition-based ensemble that practices new pop/rock related music each Thursday night, and Jazz Club is an open big band that rehearses from an organized repertoire each Monday night.
