We found the name Vapiano within an old Italian proverb ‘Chi va piano, va sano e va lontano’ which means, ‘If you have an easy-going and relaxed approach to life, you live more healthily and longer’.
That’s been the Vapiano way of life since the first restaurant opened on 22nd October 2002 in Hamburg, Germany. Two years later, the owners decided to take Vapiano on a world tour and today there are over 150 restaurants in 29 countries on 5 continents – the world just loves Italian food!
Here in Australia, our founder Will first saw Vapiano when he worked in Sweden and loved it so much he decided to bring this great global concept to Aussie shores. We’ve grown to 10 venues across Australia, beginning in Brisbane and expanding to Surfers Paradise, Melbourne and Sydney.
We pride ourselves on simple food delivered with love. Homemade delicious Italian dishes of pasta, pizza and salads freshly cooked in an open kitchen.
