The story of Heidi began in early childhood when my mother would read from the book that was translated to my language. This wonderful story of an orphan girl that instead of going into sadness and sorrow, turned her life to helping and respecting others. In those gentle and innocent days she was entranced by the magic light in the sunset on the mountain Alps and quiet trickling of the brooks. She bloomed with understanding and compassion like the spring fields alive with a rainbow of colorful flowers. The amazing picture of the Alps was always with me throughout my childhood and was where I took my first journey outside of my country. I saw what Heidi saw in those mountains: a wonder of the world and understood that her wanting to return to those mountains was justified. “Heidi” for me, is not just a way of people who knew how to live life honestly but of people that pointed the way for others to follow even if the road was hard. Those people continued the long journey with their head held up. In the end they found that to be the best way and worthy of the effort. Heidi Beer began in much the same way with a long journey until we achieved the understanding and compassion for our customers that resulted in a beer brewed to satisfy these unique tastes. Having this insight about our customers is how the success of our company was born.
