The Veterans Guest House is dedicated to helping former servicemembers and their family members during times of medical need. We work to remove common barriers to access to healthcare and are driven by the belief that any veteran who comes to the Reno/Sparks area should have a clean, safe, and comfortable place to rest.
Without us, many veterans and their families would be forced to sleep in
their cars or forgo care altogether. Thanks to the generosity of community, free overnight accommodations, transportation assistance,
and support with basic needs are available for veterans and their families.
The Guest House is conveniently located across the street from the VA Medical Center in Reno and less than a mile from Renown. In addition to comfortable rooms, wifi, cable, and a fully stocked kitchen are available free to guests. Also, service groups often provide delicious dinners and baked goods. The physical amenities of the house allow us to provide the intangible comforts of a warm, caring, supportive place of respite, at a time when the veteran or family member are facing health or end of life concerns.
