Bosque de Paz is located in a subtropical region, at 1000 m above sea level, and is blessed with a very mild climate which offers the benefit of spontaneous natural regeneration. Combining all the elements that nature is offering, Piet Sabbe has restored 15 hectares of abandoned and impoverished land into a paradise of vibrant green. Recently, another 16 hectares of land on a hillside has been purchased in order to restore into a patchwork of agricultural fields and forest. Bamboo and Vetiver grass play an important role in the process.
