En 2018, la Firme Derwa devient officiellement VIANDE DE LIEGE.
Un consortium d’industriels belges s’engage dans la relance du groupe Derwa. Sur le principe innovant de l’entreprise-réseau, cinq partenaires s’associent pour constituer, à l’Est de la Wallonie, un nouveau pôle « viande ».
Ces 5 partenaires sont fédérés au sein de "Belgian Meat Partners":
• Groep De Brauwer (Danis Groep), le plus important négociant de carcasses porcines de Belgique (1,2 million d’unités/an). Chiffre d’affaires : 180 millions d’euros.
• Euro Meat Group. Abattoir bovin (prestataire de services): 80 collaborateurs.
• Piron-Gotta 5ème génération. 40 collaborateurs. Chiffre d’affaires : 26 millions d’euros. Entreprise spécialisée dans la transformation et la commercialisation de la viande bovine et porcine (Food Service).
• Q-Group Holding familial actif dans le secteur de la viande depuis 1973. Chiffre d’affaires : 75 millions d’euros. 195 collaborateurs. Trois sites de production en Belgique : Lokeren, Neufchâteau et Chimay) et une ferme à Terremonde.
• Sobemax. Société familiale créée par Louis Mailleux. Fournisseur historique de la firme Derwa. Commercialise plus de 500 bovins par semaine provenant de près 400 agriculteurs. Leader dans son métier en Wallonie. Chiffre d’affaires : 35 millions d’euros.
