Victoria Offshore Wind is an affiliated student team of SIRE (Students In Renewable Energy) and the University of Melbourne, based in Victoria, Australia. We host beach demo days for kids and participate in the Global Floating Wind Challenge.

We organise beach demo days in Melbourne, allowing children to engage in the installation of offshore wind turbines.

About Floating Wind Challenge:
We participate in the Floating Wind Challenge organised by OffshoreWind4Kids based in Belgium. The competition involves building and designing a floating wind support structure for a Vevor 400W turbine, and our team consists of University of Melbourne students and alumni.

• Spearhead innovation, inspire future leaders and accelerate the adoption of floating wind energy solutions in Australia.
• Contribute to the workforce development of the growing energy industry in Australia.
• Explore the potential for transferring any innovative technologies or design concepts developed during the challenge to real-world offshore wind projects.
