About Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC)
In September 2015, the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC) was abolished and its review functions were allocated to the Commissioner for Better Regulation (CBR). The former VCEC had three core functions: 1) Reviewing regulatory impact statements and advising on the economic impact of significant new legislation. 2) Undertaking inquiries into matters referred to it by the Victorian Government. 3) Operating Victoria's Competitive Neutrality Unit. Reports from VCEC's completed inquiries can be accessed at the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance's website: http://www.dtf.vic.gov.au/Publications/About-publications/Victorian-Competition-and-Efficiency-Commission
