Opened on 16 June 1921, The Victory Theatre is a 1,950 seat venue in Evansville, Indiana. It is home to the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and also hosts local ballet and modern dance companies, theatre companies, and touring productions. In the 1920’s The Victory featured a daily program of four vaudeville acts, a movie, a comedy routine, organ music and a ten-piece orchestra. In 1928 the Victory featured Evansville's first "talking picture" movie. The theater was restored to its former glory and reopened in 1998 after a $15 million renovation. In the '98 renovation, a banquet room was added to accommodate over 250 for receptions, meetings and other catered events. The Victory is owned by the City of Evansville and is co-managed with The Ford Center by VenuWorks of Evansville. VenuWorks is a full management service to theatres, arenas and convention centers. Since 2012, VenuWorks has brought a variety of artists and acts to the Evansville area including Weird Al, BB King, The Price is Right, Bill Maher, Chef Robert Irvine, Jerry Seinfeld, Ron White, Two Man Group, Styx, and many more.
