We offer (After The Event (ATE), Before The Event (BTE)) and Third-Party Litigation Funding (Funding) to both individuals and businesses. These can be arranged whether your dispute has already arisen or to protect you against future risk.
For businesses, it can remove a legal dispute from your balance sheet in part or entirely. For example, if company X indicates an intention to sue company Y, accounting entries for company X will be required to reflect costs of pursuing company Y, including;
(i) own costs in pursuing the claim,
(ii) own lawyers’ estimate of their fees in advising on the matter, and
(iii) the possibility X may be ordered to pay its opponent’s legal costs if X loses its legal case.
By sourcing Funding and ATE insurance, you can transfer these risks, thus removing them from your balance sheet.
We can assist law firms in sourcing scheme disbursement funding, WIP funding and/or insurance and funding for individual clients. We compare quotes from multiple providers, undertaking the leg work for you.
For funders, we want to add reputable funders to our panel to refer to our clients to for funding. Where you decide to fund a case and require ATE insurance, we can assist in arranging it along with deeds of indemnity, and providing relevant information in relation to it.
For insurers (local and offshore, we work closely with A rated insurers active in the Australian legal expenses market and, are happy assist A rated insurers to move into the Australian legal expenses market.
