Virtually Testing Foundation

Virtually Testing Foundation (VTF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, invite-only cybersecurity research and incident response community. We bring together a global network of elite security professionals to lead original threat hunting research, provide rapid cyber incident response for nonprofit organizations, and host public and private events that drive collaboration, leadership, and technical excellence. VTF was created to fill a critical gap—nonprofit and mission-driven organizations are increasingly targeted by cyberattacks but often lack the resources to respond. At the same time, many cybersecurity professionals seek a purpose-driven outlet for their skills. VTF bridges that gap by operating at the intersection of applied research, real-world defense, and professional development. Our members contribute to live incident response efforts, publish field-validated research, and mentor one another through leadership tracks and curated events. Past impact includes supporting over 75 nonprofit incident response cases globally, publishing research on credential theft and browser-based threats, and hosting the Virtual Summit(s) attended by thousands globally. Structured under NAICS codes 541715 (scientific R&D) and 813920 (professional societies), and NTEE code U03, VTF functions as both a research initiative and a professional society. We are not a school or training program—we are a trusted platform where experts come together to learn, test, and share in service of the greater good.
