The Vis-à-Vis Organisation (VAV), established in 2004, aims at ‘Breaking Barriers & Making Connections’. 'Vis-à-Vis' is a French phrase with the meaning of 'face-to-face (with)', which represents our hope that people can treat each other sincerely and our purpose of improving the communication between international and Chinese students. Various activities during I-Week are held by VAV, such as Show Night, V-Ball and so on. Furthermore, the Vis-à-Vis Organisation also holds various activities during the semester including language learning, culture exchange, travelling, home stay, and festival celebrations organised by seven programmes of Vis-à-Vis, with support from five functional departments.
