Road accidents take a heavy toll on global society. Beyond the pain caused by the loss of human life and injuries, road accidents cost the world economy enormous sums of about 2 trillion dollars per year. Reducing road accidents is of utmost importance to the global economy. The technology that exists today brings solutions in a variety of fields but with a lack of collision warning in places without line of sight, whilst failing to give the driver a warning sufficient time in advance (not to mention, the failure to warn in sufficient time to avoid serious inconvenience to passengers). The ViSS system complements existing solutions for responding to the described problem and paves the way for the entry of autonomous vehicles into city centers and wide distribution
