Established in 2014, Vitamina Juices & Blends is a family-owned business focused in providing our community a healthy alternative of fresh juices, smoothies and healthy snacks derived from natural ingredients. The idea was born after Montserrat Ayala immigrated from Mexico to California in 2010. As she joined the workforce, she was quickly immersed in the fast-paced lifestyle of the Bay Area. Cooking at home soon began to be a thing of the past. As a result, she started to notice the adverse effects of not eating healthy, including gaining weight and feeling less energized. The healthy options around her were scarce or expensive. This led her to the conclusion that she wanted to start Vitamina Juices & Blends: a juice bar where people could find beverages not made from concentrates or artificial pulps. A place where they could eat and drink products made from fresh and natural ingredients and feel at home. After a year of being in local farmers' markets, Vitamina opened its first storefront in SoFa Market in 2015.
